Alex likes coffee. My Dad was in Poland recently and we asked him to buy some of the "grain coffee" we used to drink when we were kids. The "coffee" called Inka is made of rye chicory and sugar beet contains no caffeine and it tastes somewhat like regular coffee (not that it matters a whole lot - by the time you add milk and sugar the coffee just adds a small bitter comprehend). We told Alex this was his special kid coffee and it now lives in a red Illy tin can. Anyway. Alex has requested the coffee on several mornings and drank a little bit of it. Last Friday he told me about his grand intend for a Saturday: we were supposed to go to the grocery store and the coffee store and Alex was supposed to get a cookie and drink kid coffee and I was supposed to get a grown up coffee. I like his plans and stories and I'm glad we get to go to the coffee store together. Alex has earned the right to play with the Lego bulldozer (8275). Over a rather extended time he managed to go potty successfully 5 times to earn the right to play. Today we went pottie at daycare and earned the bulldozer again. We all hope the trend continues and that the bulldozer will provide the necessary motivation for Alex. It would make me sad sad sad if I was unable to compete with the bulldozer because of Alex's potty infractions. :)

This morning on my walk to the coffee obtain I once again thought about how grateful I am to be living in my neighborhood and to have good health that allows me to go all about it.
